Museum registrars are responsible for organizing the art collection of a museum. this can include moving art pieces, making sure each is properly documented, and preparing an art collection for display. Registrars can work with curators, collection managers, and art conservators to prepare museum shows and displays.
To work in this field, most first geta bachelors degree in art history or anthropology. Then they can gain experience working in museums, and attain certification. Some schools in Virgina with these degree programs are Washington and Lee University, University of Richmond, and VCU.
