Process Post Project #4

For project number four I am continuing to focus on invasive species and their impact on the environment.

This is the lionfish that I sculpted for this project. I used Sculpey clay to form the body and then cut different lengths of wire for the spines. I used acrylic paint for teh stripes and detailing, and attached some larger wires at the bottom to attach it to the base

This is the base for this project. I first created a cardboard base and paper mache over it to make the shape. I used a layer of air-dry clay to make the rocky texture and gave it a tan base coat. Next, I will use layers of dry brushing to create more depth and texture.
