Project #1 progress post

So far for this project I have started to crochet a leaf using some green yarn. I am basing it on a pattern I found online. I had to learn how to read the pattern diagram, which I normally don't do. I am also sculpting a harlequin beetle to go with it. I made a wire armature and then used sculpy clay to create it. I still need to fire it in my oven, so I will have to see how long that takes. Once it's fire I will paint it.
