Sculpture project process post 12-8-23

I have been working on a sculpture project based on the prompt memory. I am creating a tree of sorts, and so far I have completed the base/trunk and started attaching the branches.

For the trunk, I chiseled and whittled the spiral around, sanded it, and then applied a varnish. With the branches, I started drilling holes in them that lined up with holes on the trunk, so I could peg them together later. Next week I will finish pegging it together and add some thread and yarn, as well as leaves.
