Summer project update (August)

During the final month before school, I finished my first project, as well as the second.

For my bug sculpture, all I had left to do was paint it. The colors gave me a bit of trouble, but I ended up with a look I'm happy with. I kept the shell matte but used a gloss on the belly.

For my second project, I created a crochet tapestry. To do this I assigned each of the yarn colors I would be using to a color pencil, as well as a code. I then mapped out the design and entered the pattern into a spreadsheet. Once the pattern was written I used a tapestry crochet method to create the picture. With this method, each stitch is like a pixel in the image.
