Summer Project Update (June)

I have been doing some planning for my summer projects. For my first project I wanted to do a sculpture, as I enjoyed the ones I made for my fantastic 4 project. This time, as opposed to a more slime-based monster I wanted to do something more bug-like. I have done some sketching with various types of bugs to get a feel for what I wanted to do, some examples of this can be seen below in the image on the left. I then did a more complete sketch of my final idea for the sculpture (right image). I ended up with this one because I preferred the large amount of legs. Next, I have to determine the scale and build the armature. I also have been considering color palettes, and right now I am leaning towards reds and purples.
